Wood treatment specifications
Our creosote treatment plant can treat 72 m3 of wood per day in a single shift, and approximately 144m3 in a double shift, requiring 115 liters of creosote to treat 1m3 of poles. Approximately 22,000 liters are kept as dead stock as it is a permanent residue necessary to achieve the right level of pressure.

The pressure cylinder is long enough to handle telephone poles and electricity. Our steam boiler heats creosote to an operating temperature of 85oC. The quality of post treatment meets saz, sabs and sans specifications. the creosote used complies with British standards (BS144) and protects wood against fungus, borers and termites. It can preserve wood for up to +50 years.
